The West End is one of Canada's densest and most walkable neighbourhoods, a leafy residential pocket on the downtown peninsula bordered by Stanley Park, Burrard Street, Coal Harbour, and English Bay. Its character comes from tree-lined heritage streets and one of the country's largest concentrations of mid-rise rental apartments, many built in the 1960s and 70s.
